Welcome
For generations, our church has stood on a hill in West Brooksville. We are a warm, year-round congregation rooted in faith, friendship, and community.
Whether you grew up down the road or are visiting the coast for the first time, you are welcome to worship with us.
All are invited. All are welcome.
In Our Community
Faith as a Verb
Our church takes part in the rhythm of local life — potluck suppers, holiday gatherings, benefit breakfasts, baptisms, and acts of service throughout the year. We are here for Brooksville, not just on Sundays, but every day.

A LOCAL Landmark
A Steady Presence
Our steeple has watched over the town of Brooksville since the mid nineteenth-century. It's a familiar landmark for neighbors returning home, travelers passing through, and families who live here.
Each week, we light our steeple in memory or in honor of someone special.

Our History
A Historic Maine Meetinghouse
Celebrating 200 Years of Faith and Community
Founded in 1826, the West Brooksville Congregational Church first gathered in a shared building that also served the town council and local school. In 1855, the present meetinghouse was completed — a graceful Greek Revival structure built by local craftsmen and designed to serve generations of families who called West Brooksville home.
With its white clapboard exterior, balanced design, graceful steeple, and carefully preserved interior details, the church remains a beautiful example of nineteenth-century Maine architecture. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in recognition of its architectural and historical significance.
The church has weathered the years alongside the community it serves, including restoration after a 1982 fire. Today, it remains not simply a historic building, but an active house of worship.
